Frequency & Extent of Monitoring Tool (FEM)
As of March 1, 2007 the LME will begin to use the FEM developed by the Division as a companion to the requirement in the current 163 Monitoring rules. As the name implies, the FEM will be used to determine the frequency and extent of regular scheduled local monitoring of provider agencies. The FEM will be completed following the LME endorsement review for new providers and will be updated on an annual basis.
